Combining DNA Mini-Barcoding and Species-Specific Primers PCR Technology for Identification of Heosemys grandis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Heosemys grandis , a species of Asian water turtle, that has wide range applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Since some processed products cannot be identified exclusively by morphological microscopic identification, reliable quick approach to guarantee authenticity is critical. Thus, we fostered an effective stable molecular identification system identify based on DNA mini-barcoding species-specific primers PCR technology. A total 48 turtle samples from 16 different were collected. To distinguish its counterfeits, pair designed verified after analyzing COI sequences samples. The results showed only could generate single clear band following amplification using primers. Employing amplify can verify sequence alignment. These findings indicated technology combined with accurately detect . This broadens application biology techniques It provides convenient method for identifying raw materials standardize market protect customers’ rights interests.

DNA barcoding, species-specific PCR and real-time PCR techniques for the identification of six Tribolium pests of stored products

Flour beetles of the genus Tribolium Macleay (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) are important stored product pests in China and worldwide. They are often found or are intercepted in grain depots, flour mills, and entry-exit ports, etc. Traditionally, Tribolium species are identified according to the morphological characteristics of the adult. However, it is almost impossible to rapidly identify adult ...

DNA Barcoding for Species Identification in Bamboos

DNA barcoding first came to the attention in 2003 when Paul Hebert’s research group at the University of Guelph published a paper titled ‘Biological identifications through DNA barcodes’. The basic principle behind DNA barcoding is based on the fact that small DNA sequences are capable of identifying different species as well as they are able to differentiate them. This technique deals with a n...

Genus- and species-specific PCR primers for the detection and identification of bifidobacteria.

16SrDNA-targeted genus- and species-specific PCR primers have been developed and used for the identification and detection of bifidobacteria. These primers cover all of the described species that inhabit the human gut, or occur in dairy products. Identification of cultured bifidobacteria using PCR primer pairs is rapid and accurate, being based on nucleic acid sequences. Detection of bifidobact...

Specific Primers For Identification and Detection of Three Major Desert Truffle Species in Iran with Special Reference to Terfezia claveryi

ABSTRACT- Desert truffles are hypogeous ascomyceteous ectomycorrhizal fungi, occurring in arid and semi-arid ecosystems. A PCR-based method was developed for the identification of 3 major desert truffles of Iran: Terfezia claveryi, Tirmania pinoyi and Tirmania nivea based on internal transcribed spacers of rDNA. Two specific PCR primers were designed for T. claveryi, 4 for T. pinoyi, and 2 for ...

Species identification reveals mislabeling of important fish products in Iran by DNA barcoding

This study reports on the molecular identification of fish species from processed products which had a priori been classified as belonging to 5 important species in Iran for human consumption. DNA barcoding using direct sequencing of an approximately 650bp of mitochondrial Cytochrome oxidase subunit I (COI) gene revealed incorrect labeling of Narrow-barred Spanish mackerel samples. High occurre...
